King Lion - Petits Princes charity

This one was great fun to make. I was asked by Ubisoft Paris if I would volunteer to help Association Petits Princes realise character designs from children. The organisation helps to make sick children's dreams come true. The task was simple enough, recreate a concept art from one of the children. I was lucky to get the concept art from 13 year old Ethan that had some very cool and challenging ideas. I of course decided to recreate the concept I was given in 3D, using zbrush, Maya and Xgen, and thought old paintings of French kings was a fitting setting. My favorite part was making the hairs stand up by the static electricity from the lightning. It was a pleasure to work on this project, and great to meet the nice people at Petits Princes and the kids they help.
